PowerX 48V 14Ah (4x 12V 14Ah) – A Battery Engineered for Performance

High-performance 12V 14Ah (2HR) cyclic battery developed specifically to power electric bicycles, electric mopeds and powered wheelchairs as part of the PowerX product range. An important detail is that the PowerX 14Ah capacity is specified at a 2-hour discharge rate (2HR), while most conventional batteries are rated using a 20-hour discharge rate (20HR). When expressed at the more commonly used 20HR rate, the PowerX PX-12-14 corresponds to approximately 16Ah of capacity. Under comparable operating conditions, this means more available energy and therefore potentially greater range than a conventional 14Ah battery whose capacity is specified at 20HR.

What does 14Ah / 2HR mean?

The battery's 14Ah capacity is specified at a 2-hour discharge rate (2HR) . This is particularly important for electric drive applications, which place a much higher current demand on the battery than, for example, an alarm system or standby UPS. As a result, two batteries with the same nominal Ah rating may not deliver the same real-world performance.
